Brick & Story is providing community network building services to the New Communities Initiative. Community network building efforts have included the design, facilitation, and implementation of small and large neighborhood-based gatherings between public housing residents and neighbors in the larger community to help foster spaces of trust and break down existing racial and economic barriers.  Our work has spanned 5 years and has focused on direct engagement with public housing residents, in particular, as they work to build community with each other and within the communities in which they live, while also empowering them to become civically engaged in the redevelopment process.
