Brick & Story is working alongside Stantec to provide engagement strategy and services for the implementation of the S-Line Mobility Hub in Sanford, North Carolina. As part of the NEPA process, this engagement effort aims to collect information about stakeholders’ (1) experiences getting to and around Sanford, (2) preferences for amenities and transportation services at a future mobility hub, and (3) concerns and questions about the project.

Brick & Story is leading community engagement strategy and implementation, focusing on collecting input to inform the design and function of the proposed mobility hub. Our work includes developing and distributing an online survey, conducting stakeholder interviews with local leaders, supporting a public open house and organizing 5 pop-up events at community hubs (including a church fair and ESL class at the local community college).

Additionally, Brick & Story staff planned and facilitated a three-day design charrette to build out 30% design concepts. The charrette included stakeholder and property owner interviews, office hours, and a final presentation to the public. Engagement materials and events were designed to center transparency and equity and were provided in both English and Spanish to ensure inclusive participation.
