Project status
DC Public Library Facilities Master Plan Update
Brick & Story supported the DC Public Library (DCPL) in data analysis, report writing, and report design to update its Facilities Master Plan. The 2020 Facilities Master Plan was written pre-COVID 19, and the changing context of Washington, DC required an update to the plan from a new lens. Brick & Story was tasked with writing a new Facilities Mast Plan that reflected changes in library usage, the city’s economic outlook and demographic forecasts, updates to recommendations from the original plan, budgetary considerations, and the built environment response needed for climate change.
Westhaven Master Plan
Brick & Story supported the Charlottesville Redevelopment and Housing Authority (CRHA) in partnership with Arnold Design Studio in engagement efforts for the master plan to redevelopment of the Westhaven public housing community.
Johnson’s Local Park
Brick & Story worked with Montgomery Parks to engage the diverse communities surrounding the Johnson’s Local Park in Gaithersburg, MD, for its park renovation project and new historic storytelling program.
Washington Housing Conservancy
Brick & Story is supporting the Washington Housing Conservancy as it defines and develops its social impact strategy.
Anacostia Arts Center Redevelopment
Brick & Story provided stakeholder engagement strategy and
implementation services to Wacif for the Anacostia Arts Center.
Housing Indicator Tool, HAND
Brick & Story provides policy direction and project management services for Housing&’s Housing Indicator Tool, a digital dashboard that tracks the annual production of rental housing across the region.
Great Streets Stakeholder Engagement
Brick & Story supported Jon Stover & Associates (JS&A) in their Assessment and Strategic Recommendations for the DMPED Great Streets Grant Program through stakeholder engagement.
Greenleaf Gardens Redevelopment
Brick & Story provided facilitation strategy and implementation services to support Pennrose’s engagement efforts with residents of Greenleaf Gardens as they developed a refined project concept to submit to the DC Housing Authority for review and final approval.
DC Green Bank
Brick & Story supported stakeholder engagement efforts for the DC Green Bank. Services included stakeholder engagement strategy and outreach, along with the design and facilitation of engagement touch points such as online focus groups.
Takoma Park Recreation Center
Brick & Story partnered with the City of Takoma Park, MD to provide community engagement services for the redevelopment of the Takoma Park Recreation Center.
